The Story so far...

Updated: Jan 21

Many of you reading this have been part of the journey of Ecclesia Farms. If you haven’t - then welcome!

It has been a mission that has been led in most part by Michael's determination to be obedient to Gods call to grow food and prepare as there will be food shortages ahead.

With the world rife with chaos and the growing awareness that our food system is thoroughly broken and vulnerable on so many levels, we have we have been on a mission to find another way to thrive and provide for our families and community - to learn lost skills, to re-engage with nature from our urban homes -  to seek connection to each other and real food with real purpose in a world that is losing that fast.

We’ve had many ups and downs so far, hard labour, miraculous provisions, lost dreams and dead ends, meaningful friendships and discipleship, baptisms and babies, shared life,  hardships and joys, skills learned, compost loos and poly tunnels built, caravans bought and sold, chicks hatched and reared in apartments, slug wars, escaping pigs, angry farmers and lots and lots of brambles!

At this point on the road we have some fresh clarity and new directions unfolding. With the opportunity to partner with our long term friend in the purchase and running of a sheep dairy - to shepherd a flock of 30 sheep based in Gorley - poignantly right opposite the field we first began in years ago it seems God is bringing something together! It’s certainly a new adventure afoot and feels exciting to see what He has planned.

In obedience to the call to ‘get the church involved’ and because adventures are more fun with others we are inviting our Christian friends to join us on this part of the adventure as part of a co-operative. If you are interested in investing in the mission in some way please get in touch.

The other aspects of the Ecclesia network are continuing as normal, the pigs at pink cottage are fattening up for Christmas, the chicks are grown and the winter greens have been planted …. The mushroom container is still nudging along slowly ;) Mondays and Thursdays are still the days to join in and get some hands in the soil and join in the fun..

With Louisa on the case now you may have noticed things are looking a bit fancier! A new website developing, new logos and some new merchandise for fun! Bare with us while things take shape but we are looking forward to walking into this next season together 💫
