Excited to share with you that our first lambs have arrived with the spring sunshine! Two beautiful ewe lamb twins were born last night with no complications while Abi, Lissie and Eva were on watch. They currently are in the pen mothering up and feeding colostrum nicely from mum while we keep an eye out for who might be next! He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young.’ Isaiah 40:11 As March approaches we have been working hard to prepare physically and mentally for the arrival of our lambs. We had a fantastic team effort to bring the sheep in, prepare the barn and learn all we could from Will of Kilnyard farms about…well everything! Especially getting to grips with all the milking equipment!...

At the end of January we took a rainy (no surprise there!) drive to visit sheep farmers Katie and Rob and the sheep dairy that they have been running successfully for nearly 3 years now. It was so inspiring to see everything in action. Even though they weren’t making cheese yet as they were just heading into lambing season we still got to ask so many questions, have a tour of their set up.
