A New Year Reflection on the Ecclesia Farms Collective

As we welcome 2026, it feels right to pause and reflect on the journey of Ecclesia Farms Collective throughout 2025. This past year has been a time of growth, learning, and deepening faith as we pursued a mission rooted in obedience and service: to grow food and involve the church in that mission. Our journey has not always been clear, but through faith and community, we have seen a vision take shape—a collective of local Christians committed to providing real food and meaningful connections for the community.

These few posts share a snapshot of what Ecclesia Farms has accomplished, the lessons learned, and what lies ahead. We hope this reflection inspires you to join us in this ongoing mission, whether through prayer, participation, or simply staying informed.

A Year of Faith and Farming

The year 2025 began with uncertainty. We held onto the promise from Genesis 9:16, “When the bow is in the cloud, then I will look upon it, to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” This verse reminded us that God’s covenant extends to all creation, including the land we tend and the food we grow.

Our work on the land was often an act of faith. We planted seeds without always knowing the outcome, trusting that God was leading us. This trust was shared by others who felt a similar calling to serve their communities and prepare for the future through food production and connection. Together, as well as the development of some of our own projects we began to see the emergence of something more than individual projects—a collective.

What Ecclesia Farms Collective Means

Ecclesia Farms is more than a farm or a single project. It is a developing network of believers who share a mission: to resource the community with real food and build connections that matter and equip us for the future. This collective includes:

  • Local Christian growers and food producers

  • Food initiatives started by church groups

  • Community-supported agriculture programs

  • People passionate about all of the above!

By connecting these efforts, Ecclesia Farms strengthens the ability of communities to access fresh, healthy REAL food while fostering relationships grounded in shared faith and purpose.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we step into the new year, our focus sharpens on several key areas:

  • Growing the Collective: We want to welcome more local Christian food producers and initiatives into the network. This will increase our reach and impact.

  • Website Development: Our website will become a hub for sharing news, resources, and opportunities to get involved. We encourage you to visit regularly to stay connected.

  • Growing our Co-operative Sheep Dairy business Ewe and Moo and Pink Cottage Market Garden and Mushroom enterprise: See separate blogs for reflections and updates on those projects.

  • Community Support: Strengthening partnerships with churches, individuals and groups to ensure ongoing access to real food locally.

  • Prayer and Purpose: Keeping God’s purposes at the center of all we do, seeking guidance and wisdom as the collective grows.

Thank you so much to everyone that has been part of this mission in any way large or small in 2025.

We look forward to the adventure of seeing where God takes us all in 2026! May it be fruitful, purposeful…and fun! 🙏
